Good News Translation
He sinned against the LORD, following the wicked example of King Jeroboam son of Nebat, who led Israel into sin.

He did what was evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused Israel to sin.

He disobeyed the LORD and caused the Israelites to sin, just as Jeroboam son of Nebat had done.
